Senior PMO / Project Portfolio Management Consultant

Senior PMO Consultant job | Malmö | High-impact transformation programme | Start Sept 2026.

Are you an experienced PMO professional who thrives in complex transformational environments? We are looking for a Senior Project Portfolio Management / PMO Consultant to play a key role in a large-scale business, infrastructure and cloud transformation programme.
This is an opportunity to join a high-impact initiative where you will work closely with senior stakeholders, drive programme governance, and help ensure successful execution across multiple work streams.

Your role
You will act as a trusted partner to the Programme Lead and work closely with senior stakeholders across the organization to drive alignment, navigate complex organizational environments, and support key programme decisions.

Key responsibilities
  • Drive and coordinate PMO activities across the programme.
  • Manage governance processes, planning, risk management, and progress tracking.
  • Prepare high-quality management reports, presentations, and steering committee materials.
  • Monitor milestones, dependencies, actions, and programme risks.
  • Facilitate communication, change management, and training activities together with key stakeholders.
  • Support the Programme Lead with strategic and operational programme initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment across multiple teams and work streams to maintain programme delivery.
Required experience
✅ Minimum 5 years of PMO or Project Portfolio Management experience.
✅ Proven experience from large-scale IT, infrastructure, cloud, or business transformation projects.
✅ Strong skills in programme governance, reporting, planning, and stakeholder management.
✅ Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
✅ Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English, written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications
⭐ Experience from the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector.
⭐ Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-PgMP or similar).
⭐ Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
⭐ German language skills are considered an advantage.

Malmö (alternative: Stockholm with travel to Malmö when required)

Consultant Assignment | Full-time (100%)
Hybrid: 3–5 days on-site per week
