Your Role – What You Will Do
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a key technical role supporting plant operations and engineering activities across the Nordics and Baltics. You will ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality electrical performance while driving improvement initiatives and supporting projects regionally and globally.

Your responsibilities will include:

Engineering & Technical Leadership
• Own and support execution of electrical engineering activities for plant operations, projects, and technical support.
• Review conceptual electrical designs, including power distribution systems and Single Line Diagrams (SLD).
• Perform power system analysis (load flow, short circuit, transient stability, harmonics, relay coordination)
• Prepare and review equipment technical specifications, data sheets, and QA/QC standards for electrical equipment repairs.

Project, Vendor & Equipment Management
• Review vendor design documents and coordinate during design, fabrication, FATs and commissioning.
• Support engineering, procurement, and commissioning for HV / MV / LV substations, motors, transformers, and switchgear.
• Approve electrical schematics for switchgear, motor systems, and protection equipment.

Operations Support & Troubleshooting
• Support and conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) in your area of expertise (such as MV/LV switchgear feeder trips, analysing relay fault records, protection settings, etc).
• Support operations with on-site testing such as insulation resistance, partial discharge, transformer / motor diagnostics, etc.
• Review and optimise preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance practices.

Standards, Compliance & Reliability
• Drive the implementation of Linde’s electrical safety standards across the region.
• Participate in regional and global electrical engineering platforms within Linde.
• Conduct and support Reliability Electrical Assessments and ensure follow-through of improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with key IEC and European electrical equipment standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with operations teams across plants.
• Support Business Development and Project teams by reviewing supply specifications for new and ongoing projects.
• Ensure effective communication across regions and stakeholders.

What You Need to Succeed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least 10 years of proven industrial experience in maintenance, reliability, engineering, or operations.
• Solid technical knowledge of electrical equipment and systems (motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, etc).
• Strong understanding of predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance practices.
Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Essential Technical Competencies:
Conceptual design of power distribution systems and SLD development.
Power systems modelling and analysis using ETAP or similar tools.
• Engineering / commissioning of HV / MV / LV substations, motors, transformers, and switchgear.
Protection systems experience: relay coordination, fault record review, protection setting adjustments.
• Testing / diagnostics on MV / LV motors, transformers, and switchgear.
• Strong working knowledge of IEC / European electrical safety and equipment standards.
• Deep understanding of electrical maintenance strategies and best practices.

Preferred Experience
• Project management exposure.
• Leadership potential or prior team/technical lead experience.
• Knowledge of one or more Nordic languages.
