Purpose:
To design a customer-centric, omnichannel architecture with an App-first approach – enabling rapid adaptation and consistent user journeys across all digital touchpoints and products, while securing scalability, local adoption and sustainable expansion across European markets, including fast, secure cloud-based CI/CD and observability pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Co-define a scalable, modular App and channel architecture that supports rapid growth across multiple markets and products.
- Ensure alignment with the App-first principle and omnichannel consistency.
- Identify gaps in user journeys and opportunities for harmonisation across markets and channels.
- Recommend solutions to enhance the scalability and performance of the mobile App and underlying platforms.
- Ensure readiness for multi-market and multi-product usage.
- Establish a bank wide design system and playbook covering best practices for app scaling, multichannel consistency, and cross-market rollout.
- Define KPIs and success metrics to monitor channel performance, adoption, and user satisfaction.
- Specify requirements and collaborate with the internal teams on CI/CD pipelines that support feature flags and staged rollouts; provide expertise, and design reviews.
- Develop RACI for governance of feature toggles, A/B tests and localisation assets.
- Embed PSD2 SCA, GDPR consent flows and local e ID schemes (BankID, etc) into the core journey.
Skills and experience:
Digital banking App (5 - 8+ years)
- Proven experience delivering mobile App solutions in digital banking, with a strong focus on speed-to-market and scalability.
- Deep understanding of App-first strategy as a driver for omnichannel engagement and platform standardisation.
Pan-European App scaling
- Experience designing mobile App architectures that support rollout across multiple EU markets.
- Skilled at balancing a shared core platform with local regulatory, language, and UX/UI adaptations.
- Hands on with edge delivery (CDN, shared asset pipeline) and i18n frameworks.
Multi-product App architecture
- Track record of supporting multiple banking products within a single App experience.
- Ability to design reusable components and shared capabilities that reduce time-to-market across product teams.
Governance, guidelines & autonomy
- Skilled in setting App design standards and scaling frameworks to be adopted bank-wide.
- Experience defining app components that are configurable by business teams (e.g. feature toggles, content modules) with clear guard-rails.
Collaboration across product, tech & business
- Experienced in bridging strategic product goals with app delivery and execution constraints.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, including the C suite, and lead cross-functional product teams.
Mobile tools & technologies
- Proficient in mobile-related tools and familiar with native & hybrid frameworks.
- Experienced with modern mobile CI/CD pipelines, native and cross-platform development frameworks, and automated testing practices.
- Sound knowledge of mobile application security standards and runtime protection best practices.
